Heimablídni Heima á Fitjum

At Heima á Fitjum, we’re proud to offer more than a place to eat. We open our doors and invite guests into our daily lives. We share homemade breakfast with freshly baked rolls, nut-nougat spread from grandma’s recipe, and salmon straight from the fjord. But more importantly, we share moments. Stories. Laughter. Silence. A sense of connection that lingers long after guests have gone.

NORR – Nature das Nordic

In addition to the incredible effort she put into her volunteer work during the Closed for Maintenance project, Philippa also took the time to reflect on her experience in a beautifully written article for Norr Magazine. In her piece, she shares not only what she did here, but also how it felt. Futhermore, the moments that mattered, the people she met, and the atmosphere that turned her stay into something truly special.

Her words are a reminder of what heimablídni truly means – the Faroese tradition of heartfelt hospitality. For us, it’s not just a concept; it’s how we live.

Above all, thank you, Philippa (@philli_kunterbunt)!, for your visit, your contribution to the Faroe Islands, and also your kind words. We’re so glad our paths crossed.
